Difference between education & knowledge:
One upon a time, there used to be 4 brahmins. Jeevan, som, budh & vesh. Out of four three were highly educted & the best students of a sage who lived in a forest. But Badh was not educated & was always in confusion.
Guruji used to teach them good lessons and tell them all the skills and intriguing things they can do when they will achieve those skills. The four used to work hard to become the most educated. Badh was always in confusion. He asked the Guruji: "what is a wise man do?"
The Guruji replied "A wise man is who uses his skills with knowledge. He must think before he takes an action."
Badh took a note of it and tried a lot to become as skilled as his 3 freinds. As usual, he could not do a single thing.
One day the 3 freinds decided that they would leave the small village on quest to become most educated. They thought they should take the fourth as well. Probably he will get some education with them. And might start doing what they do. They all met Guruji for a last Pranam. Guruji said "remember a wise man uses his knowledge. He must think before taking actions."
All 4 agreed. They touched feet of their guru and walked away. In a deep Jungle they found some rocks to sit. Budh saw a skeleton lying on the ground. They all 4 were amazed.
Som got up & claimed that it belongs to a lion. The other 2 were not sure. Budh as usual confused.
In a egoistic tone som said "I got education and skills to prove that"
Before anyone could say anything, he chanted matra and joined the bones. The rest 3 got shocked. This was amazing. Vesh got up and said in an egoistic tone "haha... that's it?? Your education is nothing. Let me show you mine"
Again he chanted some mantras and brought back its skin, nails, teeth, hair. Now it was evident that this is a lion.
Vesh said "did you see my education is the greatest"
Jeevan got up and said "hahaha my skills are the greatest of all. I can bring back life to this dead animal" The rest three were shocked. No one believed him "As budh cant do anything like this, how about we ask him who would be the greatest?" Budh got scared. Before anyone could say anything, he chanted some mantras and put life in a dead lion. The lion was hungry. He attacked them and ate all three of them.
But only one was saved. He remembered what his brahmin guru had said "a wise person is the one who thinks before he acts"
When Jeevan put life in the lion, budh climbed up the tree as he knew Jeevan wouldn't listen out of his ego and lion will not leave any alive.
All three were gone.
Moral: a lot of people in this world think education is everything. Education isnt bad. But education without knowledge is still incomplete.
Many people use just their knowledge. It dosent make them any wise. A wise is the one who thinks before he acts
