Introduction
"A man's true happiness depends on what he has and not what he possesses"
Many of us keep living a life of emptiness and chase many things in this world which has no real satisfaction in itself. We think that the world is changing us. But the stays is actually the opposite.
There are two types of awareness. one is the awareness of the five senses (panch Indriyas). The five senses are only concerned with bodily identity. It identifies the self with the body and looks at others as the body. It's a great tool to understand the world fully. We have created this world using this awareness of Indriyas and continue to use it as an important tool. But what is the use of this tool if we don't understand our inside?
Many Gurus say don't use logic but then it seems they contradict when tell to use the logic. Is that not contradicting? Actually it is not because we have another awareness that keeps flowing of the consciousness. The five senses are merely our servants like how someone who is not able to see takes a stick with him to recognize the risks coming towards him. This is not how the other awareness works. There is an inner awareness that lets us boost our consciousness.
In the west, consciousness and awareness are stated to be different but actually awareness and consciousness is the same. The Sanskrit meaning of inner awareness is "Chaitanya" meaning consciousness that is related to universal soul and sensation. It is commonly said that "happiness is a state of mind". Because there is another bliss that is not experienced by the mind. This experience is non-reflecting to the physical body.
Satya and Asata
The material body is perishable whereas the Atma, which causes awareness to grow, is imperishable. The five senses are based on physical objects. By touch, visuals and sound the senses activate start producing thoughts. The five senses can only be activated by the material objects. The perishable body keeps transforming itself into various forms. We think that we are growing but actually we are gradually moving towards the end. in the later future, this body will not exist.
We keep living a life where we always get confused with options, stays vs asatya. Things do not fall in the right places. Perhaps we are not making the right approach. The richest person on this planet too struggle with hardships so does a poor person. A man in his entire life experiences happiness and sadness. Whatever is suitable for the mind is happiness and whatever is not suitable for the mind is sadness. Our mind decides whether we will be ecstatic for a situation or will cry.
The suitable and unsuitable situations of life come and go. They are never permanent. It's a total wastage of energy no something that is not static. These situations never existed before our birth and neither it will remain after death. Chasing material objects never satisfies anyone because there is an inner awareness that does not value this. The inner awareness wants to transcend into newer dimensions of Atma. If this is not fulfilled then the real happiness will not arrive. Time is merely an effect of the cause which only affects the body. Present, past, future does not have any influence on the Atma. An experienced yogi will tell you that during Dhyan Nidra he remains with the Atma and time becomes no more important.
The Atma changes body like clothes. it enters 84 lakh yonis. Atma remains static to this world until the end of chaturyuga. Atma is not enslaved to the body. The Atma holds the body, the body does not hold the Atma. The one who knows this knows Satya. When Satya is realised then Astya does not affect a person anymore as his inner awareness is stronger than the sensory awareness. The only Satya is Isha that has no beginning and end. That which has form has an end.
