Usually many families prefer offering diluted milk. Meaning less milk and more water. Our human body is made up of 3 components specified in Ayurveda. 1. Kafa (water) 2. Vata (Air) 3. Pitta (fire/ acid) "Dont feed others what you cant consume" -Vedas
Those 3 functions of our body makes body work in balance. When these 3 starts unbalancing in proportions, ailments and diseases begins. If we look into ayurvedas, we will find that in the shravan maas or monsoon season, milk goes bad & poisonous.
Not just that green leafy vegetables have higher vata. Ayurveda prohibits consumption of green vegetables in shravan maas. If a person eats them, there is a higher chance of ailment. Interestingly, during this time of the year, cows eat a lot of green grass producing high vata milk. Therefore, ayurveda tells us to avoid milk as it is harmful during that time.
From Puranas, the sumudra manthan talks about shiva consuming poison.
During shravan poison of shiva is akin to milk. We pour milk in that period.
It's not a wastage. Those who do not understand the vigyaan of Dharma will unnecessary create political drama. Mill is poured as a part of Abhishekam which means purification. As shivalinga captures energy just like any other column in your house from earth.
The special thing is to radiate that energy in a toroidal motion which oval egg (lingam) does. Pour milk or water energize the deity which radiates immense energy. Do you know why it is taken as prasad? The water or milk is directly connected with our brain
Yes. Our body is 70% water & also a conductor. Milk is considered as nourishing Ingridient. Meditating during Abhishekam helps kundalini rise. The question is "is the milk wasted? Why do we even get it if it poison?" The reason is the poured milk is reused to make Panchamrit.
Yes milk is again used for it. It has lower vata compared to the time of pouring. Panchamrit is made of milk, ghee, sugar, honey & yogurt. Benefits of Panchamrit: *healthy hair *nourishment of skin *improves brain functioning * beneficial for pregnant ladies. "Even with milk?"
Yes. The other ingredients balances Vata. Remember, vata is important. We cant rule any 3 out. Yogurt is pitta. And other ingredients balances each other. Yogurt is added as it isnt that acidic in nature but good for a balance. Let me clear this out.. dharma is Vigyaan. Namaste.
